Some quick notes on prayer

by Mike on May 20, 2011

These are some quick thoughts on prayer I took from Bishop Melvin Lambert during thursday nights service. I thought they were worth sharing…

Prayer benefits every aspect of our lives and should be one of our highest priorities.

Benefits of prayer: Prayer ushers us into Gods presence where there is fulness of joy.

Benefits of prayer: Prayer relieves the pressure that comes with every day living.

Benefits of prayer: Prayer is the tool that gives us access to God.

It is in Prayer where we get the answers and the empowerment to overthrow the attacks of Satan.

Prayer births revelation…revelation births purpose…purpose births hunger.

Why pray?: because the bible commands us to: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Why pray?: To not pray is to make a statement to God that he is not worthy of our time.

Why pray?: Prayer does not only inform god of our situations, but it also invites him to move in our situations.

Why pray?: Prayer energizes and empowers us to do the will of God.

Consistent prayer gives us victory in the face of opposition.

Where prayer intervenes victory prevails.

True success occurs when God’s purpose for our lives is inherent in our everyday occupations.
