the potential drawback of facebook and twitter

by Mike on March 16, 2010

We all love social media my self included. However, spending too much time on these sites can cause a problem with your private devotion.

Really this can apply to anything since it is more of a post on time management than anything else. But since Fbook and twitter seem to be what occupies students time the most, we decided to tie it in.

What are your thoughts? Have you noticed your self spending too much time on these sites? Any thoughts?

Good points guys. It’s easy to become distracted in the world today by all sorts of outlets for entertainment. The part about people being buried in their media (be it music, texting, the web whatever) and not sharing the gospel or interacting with others in person. Let’s try and spend an increasing amount of our virtual time glorifying God. I have had some great conversations just posting faith oriented posts in Facebook. It can be effective.

Good podcast guys.

Thanks Neil and welcome to the site!

I agree, media can be a great tool for the gospel or it can be a huge time vacuum for meaninglessness.
