Selfish desires vs God’s desires

by Mike on December 19, 2009

Feeling a bit of inspiration William posted this video on his blog late last night.I thought it would be good to share here. The situations we are in can always be traced to a decision we have made. How many times are our decisions influenced by what we think we want as opposed to what God wants. Please share your thoughts in the comment box below the video
Thanks!

The site looks great! Don’t stop, and never ever give up on the dream. For the dream was not made up but God gave it to you! Keep pressing forth!

Awesome message. I have some decisions to make. I’m a college student who has been wavering between my dreams and where God needs me. I was a pre-med student, then switched to physical education because of my natural mentoring & coaching abilities with children and youth. I then was introduced to Sport Psychology and became interested in pursuing that. I’ve recently switched back to the Sports Medicine field in the form of Physical Therapy. What has me at a stand still now between medicine and education is that something specific happened this past summer to make me even consider becoming a middle school teacher and coach. However, I don’t really want to teach because there are too many boundaries on how I can interact with the kids. I prefer mentoring and coaching because it leaves more room for an impact to be made. But I am still drawn to medicine because that’s what I planned to do all of my life. I’m also in the process of transferring schools and am seeking God’s guidance in that as well. I’ve been doing things myself and have made mistake after mistake. I’m finished, I want God to lead and I’ll follow from here on out. Thank you for the video.
